ETS for Youth Equality (EYE) is a transnational project that aims at creating new educational opportunities and innovative approaches for the personal development of young people with intellectual disabilities in Europe. EYE’s focus is promoting Education Through Sport (ETS) as a vehicle to develop innovative educational formats and the creation of new methods connecting education and sport.
One of the project outputs is the present manual “ETS for Inclusion Guide for Youth Workers and Sport Trainers” that provides educational guidance and methodological resources for operators working with the ultimate target across the different sectors on how to employ ETS as an educational mean of empowerment with the ultimate project target group. The resources are tested within the frame of a short-term joint staff training event involving 15 youth workers and sport trainers working with youth with intellectual disabilities and sport contexts.
